MESSAGE:

Sri Sri Aniruddhadeva Sports University (SASU) was established in the year 2018 on 10th December at Chabua near the Dibrugarh town in Assam. Named after great Vaishnavite saint, Sri Sri Aniruddhadeva, this University is the first state sports University in North East India. Sri Sri Aniruddhadeva was a prominent Viashnavite Saint of Assam during the Post - Sri Sankardeva era in Assam during 16th century (1553 – 1626). Sri Sri Aniruddhadeva established the Satras as a preceptor of “Ek Saran Bhakti” for social reform, patronizing peace, harmony and fraternity among all sections of people of society promoting good mental and physical health, wealth and wisdom. Government of Assam with a high hope and aspirations established the University to fulfil the long-waited dream of people of Assam for an organised sports Structure and Institutions. The permanent campus of the University is proposed at Paniera gaon of Chabua around 25 km east of the Dibrugarh town covering a land of 66.16 acre. The course curriculum at various levels of Undergraduate, Post Graduate and Ph.D. Degrees are started in the University. The academic curriculum and programmes of both theoretical and practical are being taught by the qualified teachers and instructors in the University in indoor and outdoor facilities. It is a residential University, students are attending the classes staying in University Hostels or their own accommodations. Students from states of north east India as well as other states of the country and abroad are building their academic and sports career in this Sports University.

Sri Sri Aniruddhadeva Sports University is dedicated and committed to provide best of teaching, learning, research and achievements in the field of sports in entire nation. It will provide the academic facilities and scientific training on sports to all sections of people of the society especially to the youth of future generations. The main objective of this University is to empower the people of the nation in the field of sports and build up moral character, good health as well as a wealthy and peacefully joyful society. The University will adopt the academic course curriculum from the Indian Indigenous and Traditional sports to most advanced, modern arena of sports activities of the globe. Posterity, wisdom and healthy society creation is the motto of this University with the principle of “VASUDHAIBA KUTUMBAKAM”.
