Pankaj Borthakur is a distinguished educational administrator, currently serving as the Registrar of Sri Sri Aniruddhadeva Sports University (SASU). His journey starts from an inspiring student leader at College and University days to a transformative administrator showcasing his unique blend of empathy, innovation, and dynamic leadership.

Throughout his academic journey—from matriculation to his Master’s degree—Mr. Borthakur has consistently excelled, achieving First Class marks in every stages and earning a Master’s degree in Arts along with an MBA from Dibrugarh University.

As a student leader at College and University days, Mr. Borthakur ensured that student voices were always heard and respected. He later joined at Dibrugarh University as an Executive Officer, managing the office of the Vice Chancellor, Students Welfare, Administration etc. and also liasioning with the office of the Governor of Assam, Govt of Assam, Govt of India, UGC etc. His administrative skills and commitment leads to his promotion as a Deputy Controller of Examinations at Dibrugarh University.

His professional career also includes valuable exposure to the corporate sector and contributions to the National Games held in Guwahati, reflecting his organizational acumen and a target-oriented approach.

His one of the significant achievements came during his tenure as Controller of Examinations at the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC), leading the complete digitization of the examination process—without incurring extra expenditure. His initiative was shortlisted for the Prime Minister’s National Award for E-Governance in 2019-20. His efforts brought transparency and efficiency to thousands of institutions, saving substantial resources for the Council while protecting students from traditional challenges and delays. It is to be mentioned that no single incident of Question Paper leakage was happened during his tenure.

Mr. Borthakur has consistently demonstrated his ability to navigate challenges and find meaningful solutions for the development of Sri Sri Aniruddhadeva Sports University. He continues to champion accountability, innovation, and inclusive growth for establishing this university as a leading University of India.
